ARC Raiders’ next content drop is not coming for another two months, but content-hungry players can sate their appetites with Subway sandwiches, for now.

That’s according to Embark Studios, which just announced a sandwich chain collab with the extraction shooter. Picking up a “qualifying Subway meal” in the United States can now earn gamers in-game rewards like specific armored sets that are green and yellow just like the restaurant’s iconic branding.

The outfits are cool and all, I guess, but for a player base that’s been dwindling for months since its awesome launch last October, the announcement is causing quite a bit of grief on social media, as you may imagine.

ARC Raiders got off to a start about as hot as you could imagine, and its popularity ballooned over the first few months of 2026. I still think it’s one of the better games in the genre out there. But with scant content updates, players ran out of things to do, and with Embark announcing in May that the next one wasn’t coming until October, many have simply moved on. And I don’t think a Subway collab is going to move the needle much, either.

“Any raider I see wearing this topside is getting shot on sight,” one player said in the replies. “No exceptions.”

Last week, Embark announced ARC Raiders’ next big update, Frozen Trail, is coming on Oct. 8. It will include a new map, a new “high-level challenge,” new ARC enemies to battle, and expansions and changes to the game’s progression system.

But judging by the replies to the post from those still invested in the game, all players really seem to want is an option for PvE in the PvEvP shooter. Bungie’s Marathon has a similar issue, and the game is fast-tracking a PvE mode for a launch next month, but I don’t know if Embark will be doing the same any time soon.
