Electronic Arts closes Mythic Entertainment

An all-around sad situation

Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online developer Mythic Entertainment is no more, another casualty of Electronic Arts. The studio closure was confirmed in a statement to Kotaku:

“We are closing the EA Mythic location in Fairfax, Virginia, as we concentrate mobile development in our other studio locations. We are working with all impacted employees to provide assistance in finding new opportunities, either within EA or with other companies via an upcoming job fair.”

It’s especially crummy knowing that Mythic’s last game was the dreadful Dungeon Keeper reboot for mobile. What a bad way to go out. Let’s remember the good times instead.
