Hot on the heels of announcing Yakuza: Kiwami, a remake of the original Yakuza, Sega teased the next numbered entry in the series, Yakuza 6, which is primed for a fall 2016 launch.

That window is only for Japan, of course. Sega is just getting around to localizing Yakuza 5, which is supposedly receiving a digital-only international release later this year, despite having debuted in Japan way back in 2012. So maybe we’ll get Yakuza 6 in a few years. If we’re lucky. Sigh…

Nothing aside from Yakuza 6‘s logo was revealed. So, for now, just imagine how tantalizing it is.
