Amazon UK stops taking your old games

No word if North America will follow

On August 31, Amazon UK will stop giving you Amazon credit in exchange for sending it your old games, a service that until this morning I had absolutely zero idea that it offered.

The service, where you would get a price quoted online for your game, mail it to Amazon and be credited on receipt if the game was an acceptable quality, will cease to accept games at the end of this month. Any credit you earned for selling them your games will continue to be valid, but you won’t be able to earn any extra credit.

There’s currently no word if Amazon’s North American counterpart will also be axing its version of this scheme.
