Star Citizen FPS mode coming just after Gamescom

The update is just weeks away

Hey Star Citizen fans. Are you eagerly awaiting that FPS mode that was meant to come out back in April then got delayed for an unspecified amount of time? I have some good news and some bad news for you. The good news is that we now have a time frame for its release and it’s not as far away as many feared. The bad news? It’s still several weeks away even after a multi month delay.

Chris Roberts, the man in charge of everything Star Citizen, told website Gamers Nexus that the update should be out around the time of Gamescom next Month.

“In reality, we’re probably weeks off. We’re shooting to have FPS on the PTU round-about Gamescom or slightly after Gamescom. We’re really talking about people getting to play FPS in a matter of 3, 4, maybe 5 weeks.”

So, that FPS module of Star Citizen is going to be several months late, but at least we now have a rough release time frame in mind. Who’s excited?
