Splatoon players hope to make it Nintendo’s next big eSport

Competitive squidding

The minds behind the popular competitive Super Smash Bros. forums SmashBoards are at it again, and this time they have their eyes set on Splatoon. SquidBoards hopes to be the hub for all things competitive Splatoon, from tournaments to discussion about advance techniques (ATs) or techs. Even Nintendo’s Bill Trinen has endorsed the site.

A few different techs have already been found in the brief amount of time players have had during the Global Testfires, such as Splatdashing, and Splatterhopping. Not the most creative names, but still neat nonetheless. As of right now there doesn’t appear to be a way to hold tournaments due to the way lobbies work, but Nintendo announced an update to fix that slated to arrive in August. So who wants to form a Destructoid pro Splatoon team with me?
