Flame Over fires up the Vita this March

The Vita means life. And what a life it’s having. Even though its overall sales pale in comparison to the likes of the 3DS, the system is an indie lovers dream and is home to some of the most underrated games in the past few years.

Flame Over looks to continue that Vita trend with its launch on March 10 (March 11 for Europeans).

In honor of today’s news, the developers have released a Let’s Play video by game designer Alasdair Evans (as seen above). Not only does the video show off some gameplay, but Evans also mentions that the team is working on a PS4 version of the game — he says it’s “coming as soon as humanly possible.”

From the looks of it, it’s got all the elements you’d want in a quality Vita title. It’s roguelike, it’s top down, has randomly generated levels, and it’s got fire — lots and lots of fire. The game also has a persistent upgrade system to counter all those nasty perma-deaths.
