Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Season Pass exclusive DLC map is $5 now

Timed exclusive Season Pass DLC

Recommended Videos

If you purchased the Season Pass for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you got an extra map on top of it called Atlas Gorge. Now, Activision has opened up its purchase for $5 as a standalone DLC. The special Atlas Gorge playlist is being removed and it’s being put into the normal rotation.

This is kind of odd. Call of Duty has had an “exclusive” extra map for a while now, whether it was available to pre-orders or Season Pass holders. Eventually, they’d make the map free down the road so players who didn’t have it could still operate normally in standard playlists.

We’ve reached out to Activision to see if this is just another “timed” exclusive on the sliding scale, and if Atlas Gorge will be free for all at some point. It brings up an interesting prospect though — what if players didn’t have to pay $15 for entire map packs, and could instead just buy the ones they want?
