Plants vs. Zombies 2 downloaded nearly 25 million times

Those are some impressive numbers, free game or not

Last we heard, the mega-successful Plants vs. Zombies 2 had clocked in 25 million hours of playtime with gamers around the world. But as per another recent update from Popcap, we now know that the game has been downloaded “nearly 25 million times,” and that the total downloads for PvZ 2 have already exceeded the total lifetime downloads for Plants vs. Zombies 1.

Hopefully given that market saturation of iOS devices seems like a given at this point, Popcap will soon open up the game to other platforms — specifically, Android as soon as possible. But whatever platforms Popcap decides to port Plants vs. Zombies 2 to, something tells me this isn’t the last we’ve seen of this franchise.
