Forza 5’s Drivatar will learn from you

Including your mistakes

Turn 10 Studios was on hand to tout its new Drivatar feature in Forza Motorsport 5 at E3, allowing us all to revel in yet another ridiculous made up word. Taking advantage of cloud processing, the Drivatar removes the need for traditional AI, instead having non-player drivers learn from players.

The Drivatar learns how a player takes a turn, how they deal with traffic, and when they drive dirty. When you leave the game, your Drivatar will continue playing, racing against others the way you would race against them, earning credits as it does so.

Turn Ten hopes to deliver a real world experience with Forza Motorsport 5, focusing on tiny details like the stitches in leather seats and the way sunlight plays off fresh paint.
