Far Cry 4’s take on Shangri-La sure is stunning

The Himalayas look nice, too

As someone who tended to stick with the bow as the weapon of choice in Far Cry 3 — and especially in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon — I like the look of the mythical Shangri-La in Far Cry 4.

In these levels, you’ll fight against strange masked foes with your bow, but there’s also a tiger (that can go invisible!) to provide backup on your meditative journey. My only concern is that the missions might outstay their welcome — although that’s more a general fear of open-world game design than anything to do with Far Cry 4 specifically.

Even if that does end up being the case, though, Shangri-La is breathtaking. And I’m not just saying that as a justification for my need to max out the skill tree.
