Primal Carnage: Genesis announced for PlayStation 4

Episodic and powered by Unreal Engine 4

Joining the Blacklight: Retribution PlayStation 4 announcement this evening, Primal Carnage: Genesis has also been announced for the new console during a Sony Game Developers Conference event. You might remember Primal Carnage as the dinosaurs-versus-humans multiplayer game that left something to be desired.

“As the gameplay itself will feature a mix of linear gameplay and open-world exploration from a first-person human perspective, next-generation rendering is key to selling the lush island environment and suspending the disbelief that these dinosaurs aren’t actually, well, real,” said Lukewarm Media founder Ashton Andersen.

We know that Genesis will be an episodic single-player game and, thanks to Unreal Engine 4, that it at least visually looks nice. Check it out for yourself in the attached teaser trailer and screenshots. We’ll have to wait and see how far Lukewarm Media has taken the concept and what it’s learned for this new game.
