King.com is killing it

You already knew that mobile game Candy Crush Saga was popular. No question. The games coming out of King.com are flat-out blockbusters. For the first quarter of 2014, 143 million users are signing in daily for play, up from 107 million this time last year.

Three games from King were top 10 grossing games on Apple’s App Store, Google Play, and Facebook. Candy Crush Saga and Farm Heroes Saga are cleaning up in the mobile space for sure.

They’re reporting revenue of $606.7 million for the first quarter of 2014, a 195 percent increase over last year. This is the third quarter of breaking the $600 million mark for them. King says that more people are playing Farm Heroes Saga now, and that helps. Believe it or not, Candy Crush Saga is seeing a bit of a decrease.

The sky’s the limit, it seems. CEO Riccardo Zacconi said that plans for additional games are well underway.
