Nintendo announces Mario Kart 8 Collector’s Edition

With Spiny Shell

Nintendo of Europe has announced yet another Mario Kart 8 promotion, in the form of a Wii U Collector’s Edition that’s set to drop on May 30th. It’s a pretty straight-forward bundle, as it comes with the game itself in physical form, and a Spiny Shell statue. It’ll ring in at £59.99.

Other pre-order offers are afoot, including Golden Mushroom (Littlewoods and Very), Bullet Bill (Independent Retailers), and Red Shell keyrings (Nintendo UK Store). Said keyrings will vary depending on the retailer, so double-check to get the one you want.

I can dig the free keyrings for a game I’d be picking up anyway, but I’m not sure I’d dish out the premium price for just a Spiny Shell.
