We all know that the Call of Duty franchise rakes in the cash, but this one-day sales mark seems almost scary in size. Try $500 million in sales in 24 hours for the latest, Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Half a billion, folks. So, for the forth year in a row, COD is responsible for the biggest entertainment launch of the year. 

Activision boss Bobby Kotick brags that Life-to-date sales of the Call of Duty franchise beat out box office numbers for Harry Potter and Star Wars.
