While there are still those who wonder what the point of Gaymercon is, people with money have demonstrated that it is, at least, important to them. The gay-friendly convention has surpassed its funding within five days, with plenty of time on the clock to make more scratch.
The fundraiser has currently made $28,603, with an original goal of $25,000 and 25 days left on the Kickstarter clock.
The team has added new stretch goals to keep things interesting. At $35,000, Gaymercon will feature the Gaymerconcert, bringing together a whole bunch of bands for a Saturday shindig. At $60,000, a celebrity “Boss of Honor” will be acquired.
