PlanetSide 2: Death is no excuse

PlanetSide 2 is looking pretty damn nifty, and I can’t wait to have something to mix up my free-to-play diet of Tribes and numerous RPGs. To show off the game at ChinaJoy 2012 SOE got Blur to make a CGI trailer, because nothing screams “here is this awesome game being worked on” than a trailer made by some other folk that shows none of the gameplay.

That said, it’s a flashy trailer with lots of explosions, sliding off aircraft, shooting dudes, cloaking shields and drop ships. Blur seems to think they’ve nailed the “chaos” of battle, but I haven’t seen anything like that in the game. Now I feel left out.
