Goron Tablet Cushion brings lazy to a whole new level

Most useful/useless TGS find so far

A small booth tucked against the wall on the Tokyo Game Show floor has regular demonstrations for their only product here, named Goron. This “tablet cushion” is essentially a head pillow with an arm mount for tablets or smartphones. Basically, this allows you to enjoy your tablet without holding it. It’s furniture and a third arm. It’s weird. It’s incredibly lazy. I want one.

I watched a demonstration of this 19,800 yen (about $200) contraption. A model wearing pleather and thigh stickers showed how the Goron works on laying on your back as well as on your side. I tried not to laugh or stare at her thigh stickers.

After trying the Goron for myself, I kind of want one. There’s something about the side position that really sold me. The brochure shows a poorly photoshopped image of someone playing console games with it too. I like that. It’s like spooning your electronics.
