Malicious Rebirth headed to PlayStation Vita this year

The PS3 action game is reborn, portable style

It looks like an enhanced download-only port of the PlayStation 3 action game Malicious is on the way officially for the PlayStation Vita later this year, under the name of Malicious Rebirth. The port will thankfully have more content than the original, including new foes and abilities. If you haven’t played it, the gist of the experience is that you play a Spirit Vessel, capable of saving the world from the Malicious. As a male or female, you’ll earn powers as you progress using the “black mantle,” a weapon capable of morphing forms.

The game is open-ended similar to Mega Man, and consists only of small scale arena fights, much like Soul Sacrifice. Malicious was a pretty neat little romp, and this is yet another solid title to add to the Vita’s growing future lineup.
