The Warrior class is one of the easiest ones to master in Path of Idle: Old Gods Rising, but you can use it effectively with the correct build. The class works well with most other options in the game, and it feels like the best melee choice in my books.
In this guide, I will go through what I consider the best build for the class.
Best Path of Idle: Old Gods Rising Warrior build
The Warrior class offers a lot of variety when it comes to builds. You can always try out the recommended choices, but I have opted for something that’s more basic (but remains pretty effective).
Recommended Skills
- Raging Fire Slash: Since I combine the Warrior with the Cleric, I don’t mind having Raging Fire Slash. You can sacrifice a bit of health to do more damage.
- Pain Immunity: Having reduced defense is a must with this build, since the Warrior will be losing health while using Raging Fire Slash.
- Iron Guard: This is my favorite skill for any Warrior build, since you can summon a guard with a warhammer to fight beside you. The number of guards you can summon increases as you level up the skill.

While not a skill, Vigilant Strike is critical for this build. This move deals Slash Damage and helps you gain Mettle.
Specializations
- Brutality: Raises slash damage.
- Brutish: Better strength and dexterity.
- Enrage: Good for any Warrior build as it raises physical damage.
- Zod: Allows the Warrior to regain lost health.

For weapons, pick options that come with Mettle. The more affixes, the better. Here’s a list of affixes to focus on.
- Damage
- Physical Damage
- Health
- Health Regen
- Strength
As I mentioned, the Warrior is one of the easiest classes to build. Make sure to pay attention to the team composition to get the most out of this build.
