The Elevation Calculating Computer is one of the most useful tools in IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator, but you can actually fire without it (and do so pretty accurately). No, there’s no cheat that allows you to do that. Instead, it boils down to how the gun mechanics work in the game.

How to fire without the Elevation Calculating Computer in IRON NEST

Ideally, you should always use the computer to calculate turret elevation. Missing the turret by even half a degree can turn out to be fatal. However, there will be missions where it gets damaged.

Interestingly, IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator does not account for hard ballistics. In real life, different shells/ammo have different volume and weight. In the game, it’s the same. This allows you to calculate the turret elevation without the computer.

Here’s the formula: Distancex0.012/Number of charges.

Let’s assume that the target is 8200m away. So distance=8200. The value of 0.012 is constant. Since the target is less than 10 km away, two charges are enough. So the number of charges will be two.

Hence, your turret elevation angle is (8200*0.012)/2.

While the method is not quicker than using the computer, it will be necessary every so often. Moreover, I love doing some maths on my own to add some realism to certain missions.

The method remains consistent irrespective of the type of shell. As long as you get the distance and number of charges accurate, you’ll always be able to accurately calculate the elevation on your own.

Don’t forget to change the bearing angle before shooting the shell because that will also remain an important factor when it comes to landing your shot at the correct spot.
