Syndicate hits Good Old Games this Thursday

Good Old Games will finally let you grab the original Syndicate on January 19 for $5.99. Not to be mistaken with Starbreeze’s upcoming first-person shooter, this classic 1993 game should keep you occupied while you wait to see if the series’ reboot is any good. Josh Tolentino pondered about the true legacy of the Syndicate series a few months back, which is worth a read if you missed it.

Being able to just download the Bullfrog classic at any time and play it on a Windows 7 PC is great, but you know what else would be great? A surprise top-down Syndicate title announcement by EA, in the spirit of Firaxis’ upcoming XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It can’t hurt to ask, can it?
