What to expect from LumenTale: Memories of Trey

LumenTale is a monster-collection RPG set. In it, you play as Trey, a man suffering amnesia after waking up in the world of Talea. After choosing one of five starters, you set out on your journey to discover Trey’s true identity, and along the way, you’ll catch Animon with a device called a Holoken and battle against other trainers, or Lumen, to prove your skills.

LumenTale’s core gameplay takes place in turn-based battles with up to four Animon on a field at a time. As you travel the world of Talea, you’ll come across a variety of Animon with their own skills, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses—a total of 140 species ranging across 13 different types, to be exact. You’ll need to think strategically and make the most out of all your Animon’s characteristics if you want to outsmart opponents.

When you’re not fighting, you can gather different ingredients and craft useful items and food that raise your Animon’s stats, heal their health, or even repel wild Animon. You can also decorate the Anispace, a dedicated space where you can find and train all your captured Animon, with items found all across the world.
