Battlefield 3 has 10x more pre-orders than Bad Company 2

Electronic Arts has boasted that Battlefield 3 pre-order figures are ten times those of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It would appear that the hype and gorgeous graphics are paying off.

By all accounts, Battlefield 3 is going to be one of the most serious contenders for the First-person-shooter crown we’ve seen in a long time. EA has sunk a ridiculous amount of money into its advertising, and the huge marketing push has paid off.

Of course, Call of Duty, which can’t help but be brought up thanks to EA’s obsessive comparisons, continues to grow each year, so Battlefield 3 has a tough fight on its hands if it wants to be crowned king of all military shooters.
