Get your 1940’s vibe on with The Marbians on the 29th

Marble games like Kororinpa are interesting but seemingly few and far between.  Developer NORDISK FILM has announced to us that their physics-based puzzle game The Marbians will be releasing on July 29th for Android and iOS platforms.  The concept of this game is simple: flick marbles around an obstacle course to collect items and safely return to your starting point.  The game will feature 64+ levels of increasing complexity and is banking on a cool retro aesthetic.  The game is themed around the 1940’s and will even feature classic rock tunes.

The game will go for a mere 99 cents (or 1.99 on iPad.)  Those curious will be able to download a free demo that includes the first 8 levels of the game.  I dig the retro vibe myself and think it’s particularly relevant to Destructoid readers.  We have a heritage based in retro.  You’ll notice the game features robots similar to the Smoking Spaceman (inspiration for Mr. Destructoid) in the backgrounds.  I recommend checking out the gameplay trailer.  The game does feature some interesting level design.
