Treyarch on bringing eSports features to Black Ops II

Recommended Videos

I had a chance to interview game design director, and mad genius, David Vonderhaar on all that we can expect out of the livestreaming and SHOUTcasting features they’re cramming into Black Ops II. David goes over the new game mode to go along with the eSports focus, and details finer things like how they’re going to prevent cheaters from abusing livestreaming videos.

I also asked David what their whole motivation was for making this giant push into the eSports world. While they’re not the first to do something like this, I strongly believe Treyarch’s push has just opened up the floodgates for the industry as a whole to stop ignoring the eSports scene.
