DBD becomes a circus as one red-nosed character gets a massive buff

Behaviour's (in)balance team strikes again.

Dead by Daylight is no stranger to weird patches and updates, which often break something or everything. This last one, coming alongside the Walking Dead Chapter, broke a lot of stuff, including The Clown, one of the game’s oldest Killers.

And how exactly did BHVR do it? Simple. It made The Clown be the most boring, uninventive, left-click Killer imaginable by making his power grant him massive movement speed while simultaneously slowing Survivors down. He has nothing special going about him, unless you consider Sonic the Hedgehog-level speed and left-clicking to be the most impressive things you’ve ever seen.

It’s so bad that Clown skyrocketed in popularity, with people already inventing all sorts of builds that enhance his boring gameplay, making him even more of a nightmare for Survivors.

And don’t just take it from me, the entire community has been in an uproar. Just look at this meme posted on the game’s 1.5-million strong subreddit:

One player even dubbed him as the “new tunneling king,” and that couldn’t be more accurate.

For those unaware, tunneling is a Killer practice in DBD to explicitly focus on one Survivor, ignoring everyone else until they are dead and sacrificed. With these new buffs, The Clown can simply run after one Survivor ad nauseam, ensure they’re dead, and then move onto another. There are simply very few ways you can loop him and run away due to how fast he runs and how strong his slows on you are.

The above, plus just how broken this last patch has been, has turned DBD into an outright circus where Survivors and Killers alike are being hindered (pun intended) by bugs, OP buffs, server issues, and technical instability.

Keep on being yourself, Behaviour, and never change. But, if you may, please revert these Clown tweaks.
