Popular online retailer Amazon has unveiled a new service designed specifically for the ever-growing free-to-play market. Game Connect provides an easy space for developers to link their freemium titles, and allows users to make easy microstransactions via the marketplace.

The consumer can link their existing Amazon account with supported titles, making in-game purchases more convenient. Amazon promises seamless purchasing, meaning you’ll buy currency directly without the need to for extra unlock codes. The potential to make microstransactions so easily will doubtless make them that much more attractive.

Game Connect is currently active and supports a number of MMOs and freemium titles you’ve never heard of, alongside some heavier hitters like Super Monday Night Combat and World of Tanks

Regardless of your views on F2P, this is one doubtlessly savvy move.
