E3: Nintendo gives Zelda: Four Swords on DSi in September

Recommended Videos

This year is The Legend of Zelda‘s 25th anniversary, and to celebrate, Nintendo is putting out some old and new games that you can pay money for. Yes, celebrate is another word for “excuse to make money.” But wait! Some goodwill!

This September, DSi owners can download The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords for the low cost of free. It’s not stated whether this is the version included with The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for GBA or if it’s a new version made for DSi. I can only say it’s a safe bet it’s not the Gamecube’s The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures.

It may not be the holy grail of rereleases — BS The Legend of Zelda and BS The Legend of Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets for the Super Famicom’s Satellaview add-on — but it’s still a nice freebie for fans.
