Verse Piece Mining Explained
Mining in Verse Piece is a mechanic that lets you mine Ores for materials that you can use to craft various swords, specs, and other items. Before you can start mining, you have to grab yourself a pickaxe. Check out our guide on how to get a pickaxe in Verse Piece for more information. With a pickaxe in hand, you can start mining inside the Dungeon Cave.
How to Increase the Amount of Ore You Get While Mining
If you start mining without any preparation, then you are not being an efficient Verse Piece miner. Two things can increase the amount of Ore you get while mining: the Mining Master trait and the Mining Gloves. With the Mining Master trait and the best Mining Gloves available, you get five Ores from each node you mine. Using Drilling Artifacts allows you to farm multiple ore nodes as they respawn, increasing your mining efficiency exponentially.
Mining Master Trait
The Mining Master trait in Verse Piece increases the amount of Ore you get from each node by one. To get it, go to the Middle Village island and reroll your trait at the Traits Reroll NPC. If you already have a better trait, make sure to store it before rerolling. Keep in mind that the Mining Master is a Legendary trait, so you only have a 1.25% chance to get it per reroll.
Mining Gloves
In Verse Piece, the Mining Gloves increase the amount of Ore you get when mining by a set amount. With the best pair equipped, you will get three more Ores from each mining node. To get Mining Gloves, head inside the cave on the Dungeon Cave island and interact with the NPC on top of a rock structure on the left side. Below is a list of all Mining Gloves currently available in Verse Piece.

Using the Drilling Artifact
The Drilling Artifact is a rare drop from all types of chests, and you can use it to automatically mine multiple ore nodes at the same time for the next five minutes. Since its AoE is quite large, you can place it in the middle of the cave to mine all but the two furthest nodes inside it. After five minutes, the Drilling Artifact disappears, and you have to place a new one to continue mining like this.
Dungeon Cave Ore Node List
Currently, you can mine six different Ore nodes inside the Dungeon Cave in Verse Piece. Those nodes are Iron, Gold, Enhance Stone, Reroll Shard, Limitbreak Stone, Light Ore, and Tempest Ore. The node spawn chance has the same order, with Iron nodes spawning frequently and the Tempest Ores having the lowest spawn rate.

Best Method for Mining Rare Ores in Verse Piece
If you want to farm some of the rarer Ores in Verse Piece efficiently, then using the Drilling Artifact on a private server is the best strategy. You can create a free Verse Piece private server and use it to mine safely without interruption. With the Drilling Artifact active in an optimal spot and the Mining Master trait and Enhance Gloves equipped, you can get up to ~35 ores every 10 seconds.

With the Mining Master trait and Enhance Gloves equipped, you get 5 Ores from one mining node.
Once you get the pickaxe by completing the mission from the NPC just outside the Dungeon Cave, the pickaxe will be permanently equipped for your character. Therefore, it will not appear in your inventory, but you will still be able to mine with it.
The best mining method for farming rare Ores is to join a private server and place a Drilling Artifact in the middle of the Dungeon Cave. Make sure to equip the Mining Master trait and Enhance Gloves to increase the amount of ore you get from each node.
