GameStop removes PSP games from 25% of stores

Man, I LOVE the PSP, but even I can’t believe how much GameStop store space goes to the system. There’s usually a big rack packed with used games in gunky boxes, and every time I see one of these racks I wonder how long they’re going to last.

Not long. Kotaku has learned that GameStop is cutting back on PSP inventory by removing games from 25 percent of their stores.

“The consolidation is occurring to maximize the merchandising space in the smallest 25% of stores,” a GameStop representative told Kotaku. “It will also provide a greater assortment in those stores that will continue to carry the category.”

GameStop will continue to sell PSP titles a their larger stores as well as on their website.

Maybe they’re making space for more Vita games. Nah, couldn’t be. There isn’t any!
