Ubisoft is about to drop Michael Jackson: The Experience on to PS3 and Xbox 360 next week, so they’re pulling out the big guns. By that, I mean releasing an ad focused on Kinect functionality in the Xbox version of the game featuring “Smooth Criminal.”
As dopey as the opening mimicry of the music video is, with its modern-era dress and suburban living room vibe probably the polar opposite of the King of Pop’s “Club 30’s,” I got into it a little bit as the trailer wore on. Doing that lean and looking as cool as Michael did when he did it, that’s a fantasy I won’t begrudge anybody having, even knowing that none of us will ever actually pull it off.
