In an interview with GameTrailers TV, PlayStation marketing SVP Guy Longworth confirms a Call of Duty for the PS Vita. He said that “in the autumn, [my teenage sons are] really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita, and we think that’s going to be an absolute game-changer for the platform.” No other details were given.

A CoD on Vita really could be a game changer. Imagine an always-on multiplayer experience where you’d get leaderboard and friend status updates on-the-go via 3G, and then could hop on for online matches anywhere, at any time.

Longworth also confirms that Sony’s first parties will be working on Vita games. Good news: he says that Naughty Dog will be working on something“You’ll see a number of games coming out from all of our studios,” Longworth said.
