???!?!: C3 at Sea, a videogame cosplay cruise

Recommended Videos

We recieved a press release from the National Academy of Video Game Testers and Reviewers (NAViGaTR) informing us of a special event they’re having called C3 at Sea. The event is a cruise. For games. With videogame cosplay.

The event sets sail on Royal Caribbean’s premiere vessel Enchantment of the Seas, leaving Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday, October 29, 2011, for a 5 night cruise returning Thursday, November 3. Gamers and supporters will be heading to the Bermuda Triangle on Halloween for a Cosplay Caucus Cruise (that’s the C3).

Here’s where the WTF comes in: Attendees can walk the red carpet in cosplay to compete. It’s a walk-off! Attendees can also participate in a “public caucus election” to determine the best games of the decade from these categories

Onboard activities will also include rock climbing, bungee trampoline, and a roast of infamous “Gaming in the Clinton Years” narrator George Wood.

What, what, what the hell, what and what? This sounds really strange and random and kind of crazy. I’m curious and scared at the same time. This webpage says that rates start at about $680 per person. I’ve read their about page like three times and I’m still confused.

Ready for more WTF? Check their YouTube page.
