$99 Xbox 360 Kinect bundle deal coming to retailers

Recommended Videos

Remember that $99 Xbox 360 4GB and Kinect bundle they offered at the Microsoft Store? You can now get the same bundle at GameStop or Best Buy, says Microsoft.

The deal works like this: Pay $99 up front and go home with a 4GB Xbox 360 and a Kinect sensor. For 24 months you’ll be locked into an Xbox Live Gold service contract, where you’ll pay $14.99 a month.

I know it sounds like one of those gross rental center scam plans, but you’re only paying about $30 more total compared to buying an Xbox 360 outright. What’s next, straight up cell phone plan pricing structure? I think many would go for a free console for a 2-year contract lock.
