750k Xbox 360s sold during Black Friday week in U.S.

Did you grab one of them?

Having mostly burned off my Thanksgiving meal (and ensuing leftovers), now is a good time to reflect back on last week. I didn’t leave the house to participate in the frenzy of consumer spending, but a considerable amount of people did. In the United States, 750,000 Xbox 360 consoles were sold between November 18 through November 23.

Microsoft is also reporting that Halo 4 “exceeded [sales] expectations” during Black Friday week, in addition to the fact that there’s been a 43 percent increase in U.S. entertainment app usage compared to the same period last year. That shouldn’t be too surprising given how long the console has been around and the types of consumers it is now attracting.

What was the damage for you last week? I nabbed one of those PlayStation 3 bundles and tried not to make too many unnecessary Steam purchases.
