Twitch Dates Pokémon: A visual novel based on Twitch Plays canon

Twitch Plays Pokémon spawned a lot of "memes" and some nice fan art. Twitch Dates Pokémon is a visual novel set in that universe. And it's non-erotic! "Family-friendly," in fact. Good. I like my Poké...

The PlayStation Experience schedule is up

When Sony announced PlayStation Experience, I didn't pay it any attention outside of a cursory glance, but in the weeks since, the Las Vegas event has shaped up nicely. It kicks off on Saturday, December 6 with a keynote at 1...

No more shirtless streams on Twitch

Have you seen a shirtless dude stream videogames before? I have -- multiple times, in fact! -- and I hardly ever follow live streams. Twitch has updated its rules of conduct and while much of it is common sense, broadcasters ...

Talking about the Tequila Basement while playing 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand
by Bill Zoeker

We're reaching the end of our stupid drunken 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand stream, and not getting any more coherent. We shared our tales of drinking tequila in a basement with actual real-world videogame publisher, Devolver Digital. We also discuss Eazy-E's weird lyrical style.

[Because we exported this stream to YouTube directly from our Twitch.TV channel, the last part is less than 4 minutes long. Here it is below.]

If 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand were about Eminem, it might be like Deadpool
by Bill Zoeker

In this segment of our drunken 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand stream, I think we're mostly just getting drowsy. Max talks about the evolution of Eminem and I yell at my roommate for texting me about laundry during the stream.

We learned Fiddy doesn't need to move his mouth to swear in 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand
by Bill Zoeker

Watch the slow progression of our drunken stupidity as we continue to trudge through 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. In this segment, I try to make my Bacardi and Vitamin Water cocktail less terrible with lime juice, sadly to no avail. Then Max and I poop a bunch of nonsense from our mouths, as usual.

We're playing 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand live on Twitch!

Max Scoville and I thought it would be a good idea to get drunk and play 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, so we decided we will do exactly that, and stream it for you to watch live. We're stupidly drinking Bacardi and Vitamin Water in Fiddy's honor.  You can watch the stream here, or in the video player below.

Destructoid's Twitch channel is ready to come back and get the diamond skull

As some of you may recall, we took a break from streaming on Twitch.TV. There was a lot of reasons for the temporary halt in production, but we're ready to make a comeback.  We've had some time to mourn our trail-blazing...

Watch me play (and crash) in Driveclub before the game is even out! photo
Watch me play (and crash) in Driveclub before the game is even out!

Watch live video from Destructoid on Twitch

[Update: Shows over, but you can watch me play through again in the video above.]

Funny thing. I love racing videogames but I'm a terrible driver. In real life, too! Ask anyone that has ridden in my car. In fact, Hamza rode with me to lunch yesterday. I think I ran two lights, curbed, and cut people off in that short two-mile drive. Sorry, Hamza. You know better now.

I talk a lot of sh*t about others that play racers. And now, thanks to the magic of streaming, I'll have to eat some words. Whatever. Now they (and you) can see how bad of a driver I really am in my livestream of Driveclub, kicking off in about 30 minutes (3:00pm PST).

Sony is only letting me show a little bit ahead of the game's October launch on PS4, but it's still enough time to see me wreck. Watch me play through new challenges I've just unlocked in the game's single-player mode for the first time. See the shiny cars. Get a glimpse of where our upcoming review (October 7) is going.

Ask me questions during the chat and I'll do my best to answer them while driving 150MPH.

See you on the road!
