You knew it was coming. We knew it was coming. There are zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops, folks. Finally, today it’s been confirmed, with developer Treyarch unveiling the undead for up to four-players in the game’s cooperative mode.

“Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops,” said studio head Mark Lamia in a press release today. “We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprises for the fans.”

A surprise? Ninjas? Pirates? Aliens? What could it be? The game is out November 9, and I’m sure we’ll hear a bit more about these “surprises” before it ships.
