Zelda is still destined for Wii U, says Miyamoto

Nintendo wanted to focus on Star Fox

Zelda was present at E3 2015, but not in the way we would’ve liked.

Nintendo announced Tri Force Heroes, a decent-looking cooperative game for 3DS, but didn’t say much of anything about the one we really want: The Legend of Zelda for Wii U.

“My thing with E3 is that we always focus on what’s coming out in the immediate future,” Shigeru Miyamoto told IGN through a translator. “We have some really great Zelda footage and, at some point we will be showing that off, but not today.”

Miyamoto, who makes for a damn good Muppet, added “We’re here to talk about Star Fox but Zelda is still coming to Wii U, so don’t worry about that.” Help me love this system, Nintendo.
