One of my favorite Xbox Live Indie Games of the past months has been the irreverent and charming Cthulhu Saves the World. Now, Robert Boyd of Zeboyd Games has announced work on an “enhanced version” of the game for PC and 360 with features that had to be cut from the original release. In order to fund the development of this version (and improve their game engine for use with PC), Zeboyd started a Kickstarter project with a goal of $3000.

Here’s the great news: The gaming community pulled through and, in under 72 hours, has managed to exceed Zeboyd’s goals. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go and help out anyway. Cthulhu Saves the World is a great game that deserves a wider audience and Zeboyd is offering some nifty rewards for people who pledge money, including an appearance in the game, new original fiction and more.

Congratulations to the folks at Zeboyd for their success on this. I’m very much looking forward to seeing all the new content in this expanded release.
