Z.H.P. trailer might be greatest trailer in the universe

Just…just watch the trailer above. It’s for the latest game from the team behind Disgaea: Z.H.P. ~Unlosing Ranger VS DarkDeath Evilman~. Damn skippy. See that? SEE THAT? That’s the effing title of the game. It’s stunning, and you should definitely see this game in action. My PSP is seriously stoked for this title.

Did you see the equipable weapons? Sexy-Jiggling boobs? Prinny hats? Fourth-wall breaking self-awareness that only Japanese developers seem capable of doing, this title is straight up awesome. In a presentation of the title last night NIS President and CEO Souhei Niikawa mentioned that this title is going to be the next big game from the Disgaea team, equal in customization and depth of play to their other hit. Another thing you’ll notice is that the title seems to focus on the single character himself, as opposed to a squad of SRPG warriors. The video above is running in real time, and the goal for the game is to make an SRPG that, while turn-based, runs so incredibly fast that it might almost be an action game. Clearly, it’s a unique take on the SRPG design front.

Seriously, this game is out-of-control awesome. Now let’s just see if NIS can make this baby into their next star. See it one the PSP later this Fall.
