Ys Origin hits the Nintendo Switch eShop on October 1

More Falcom games on Switch is a good thing

Ys Origin has been making the rounds for years, and the next stop on the list is Nintendo Switch.

If you’ve thought about jumping into Nihon Falcom’s enduring RPG series and you like the sound of getting cozy with this prequel adventure on your Switch, the date to remember is October 1, 2020.

Apart from the Nintendo Switch eShop release, there will also be a physical collection from Limited Run Games – a standard version ($29.99) and a collector’s edition ($69.99) with a boxed copy, soundtrack, art book, poster, and special case. The former is available to pre-order now but the latter is sold out.

Not that I need any extra oomph this afternoon after my third cup of coffee, but if I did, the energetic song in this release date trailer sure would do the trick. “Unhinged beats to slay demons to.”
