You’ve never seen cosplayers look this heroic

Photos from New York Comic-Con 2013

Sure, New York Comic-Con 2013 isn’t as big as that other Comic-Con, but that’s not about to stop people from dressing up as the characters they love. This year Destructoid had photographer Senen Llanos at the show to take photos for us, and as you can see he has a very different style from what you normally see with cosplay photography.

“I love cosplay and the endlessly talented people that pour hundreds of hours into creating the perfect costume,” Senen told me. “In that sense I feel it is my obligation to capture them giving them with the same amount of dedication. This year I wanted to emulate the film look from the movies. Not just lighting them properly but also giving a bit of color and drama to their performance all in the name of showing their work as awesome as I can make it look.”

Take a look through the gallery below for all the shots! We’ll have some more photos coming tomorrow too.
