‘You’re breathtaking’ Keanu Reeves fan bags a free copy of Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED reward moment-maker

One of the very best moments of yesterday’s E3 opening was the sudden surprise appearance of John Wick actor Keanu Reeves, who took to the stage during Microsoft’s press conference to talk about CD Projekt Red’s awesome-looking Cyberpunk 2077.

Upon stating that walking through the day-glo-dangerous streets of the upcoming RPG was “breathtaking”, a random audience member called out to Reeves “You’re breathtaking!”, which led to a cute moment of awkwardness from the Hollywood star, followed by his declaration that we were all breathtaking.

No doubt happy with the press received from this genuinely funny moment, CD Projekt Red announced that they will be sending out a free copy of the Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition to the audience member in question, Los Angeles-based YouTuber Peter Sark. That’s not a bad bonus for simply stating the truth.

Incidents such as this one, which are genuine, unscripted and heartwarming, are the moments of E3. Despite how hard presentations in the past have aggressively worked to contrive “A Viral Meme”, the real moments – as with everything in life – are the ones that come out of the blue, bringing a touch of genuine emotion, humour and humanity to the stage.

Now, let’s not all try to top this guy today. Audience callouts can go too far. Ask Bethesda.
