Your DualShock 4 will now sync wirelessly with your PS3

I love the DualShock 4. Outside of the Wii U GamePad it’s currently my favorite controller, with the Xbox One remote not far behind. It really is a great generation in terms of control options, yeah?

Anyways, you can now use your Dualshock 4 wirelessly on your PS3 after the latest firmware update. You could always just plug it into the system, but now you can go to your Bluetooth settings on your PS3, register a new device, then hold the Share and PlayStation buttons on your DS4 — presto, it works.

Just note that Sixaxis functionality, vibration, and the touchpad don’t work. Still, the header image above adequately reflects my reaction to this update.

Long live the DualShock 4.
