Spike Chunsoft has announced a wave of new paid DLC for their excellent pro-wrestling title Fire Pro Wrestling World. The DLC will not only bring exciting new wrasslers to the ring, but will also feature new modes and features for the sandbox grappling game.

Coming in Fall of this year, “Fire Promoter” will add a whole new management sim-style side mode to FPW. Fire Promoter will allow players to create their own wrestling promotion, hire and train wrestlers, book shows and tournaments, collaborate with other promotions, even work on merchandise sales, (just don’t forget to stamp out any notions of a union.). The dedicated Fire Pro crowd have been using the series to run fantasy leagues for decades, so this mode will be a more than welcome addition.

Also coming this Fall is a new story mode chapter based on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Junior Heavyweight division. Players will enjoy a fictionalised account of the high-flying Junior’s past year, featuring stars such as Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask IV, Jado (Fuck You We Are Jado and Gedo), Rocky Romero and the pride of Britain; Will Ospreay.

Spike also announced that there is an entirely new story mode also to be added to the game down the line, but no date or details have been confirmed for this as of yet, so that particular addition is probably on the books for 2019.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is available on PC now. It will launch on PS4 in the West on August 28.
