You can butcher Pals while keeping them alive in Palworld

No Pals were harmed in the writing of this article... Much

Anyone who has ever played Palworld, or has simply been reading about it, will know that there is a function which allows players to butcher their Pals in order to get their drops. One player recently shared their surprise discovery on Reddit which is either genius, or horrifying on another level.

The player, who goes by the name of Yashpwns, explained in their post that if you use the Butcher Pal option before immediately mounting them, it allows you to obtain their drops without actually killing them in the process.

One can only hazard a guess as to how the Pals’ mental health is affected by this process of repeatedly being hacked to near death and then revived, only to start the cycle all over again. That said, in the interests of science, I tested out this theory and it does indeed work.

Please, withhold your judgement; try to understand that some Pals are the keepers of Legendary Schematics which can be incredibly difficult to obtain, considering their 3% drop rate. This method, while macabre, allows players to gain infinite chances to receive these Schematics.

Players in the comments of the Reddit post also appear to have tested this in droves, with many praising Yashpwns for their discovery. However, Yashpwns doesn’t deserve all of the credit for this dark discovery.

Another user, who goes by the name of Munchen_Crossbone, also shared this discovery two weeks before Yashpwns’ video was posted to the subreddit, though at the time it flew under the radar of most players.
