Coming really soon
One of the most pleasant surprises of the year hit mobile phones in January. Dandy Dungeon: Legend of Brave Yamada remains one of 2017’s best mobile games and I’ve played basically every day since first downloading it. The game is the brainchild of Yoshiro Kimura, who is probably most well known out west for Chulip and Little King’s Story.
I didn’t really expect Dandy Dungeon when it first hit the Android Play Store mostly because I was still waiting for Onion Games’ Million Onion Hotel, a mobile game that has been in development for at least three years. Every time I think it’s getting closer, the release date moves further away. Not anymore.
A new trailer for Onion Hotel dropped last week, promising the game was “coming soon.” It doesn’t look drastically different from its 2014 trailer, but goddamn does it look beautiful and crazy and distinctly Yoshiro Kimura.
Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme! Originally billed as an iOS exclusive, Million Onion Hotel will launch hopefully very, very soon on iOS and Android.
