Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter is still going strong, reveals final stretch goal

It’s still ticking up as I type

When Yooka-Laylee arrived, it hit all of its stretch goals in less than 24 hours. At the time, the highest goal was a simultaneous Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4 release in addition to the planned PC platform. Since then, the “old skool” N64 shader mode and the “GK Rap” goal has been met, in addition to a Let’s Play walkthrough.

Now, it seems as if developer Playtonic Games is on its final goal — a fully orchestral score. Additional funding will help “polish the game to the Nth degree,” which means no more immediate or apparent rewards for backers outside of taking the developer’s word for it.

That means expanded revenue gains might slow down a bit, but I think they have everything they need and then some at this point. I’m looking forward to it!
