Yooka-Laylee is finally rocking the 64-bit look

PC and Switch are up first

As a fun little twist, Yooka-Laylee has gotten a 64-bit makeover. You can re-experience the game as it kinda sorta would’ve looked had it been released on a Nintendo 64 instead of modern platforms. I would not recommend watching this trailer until you’re at least two cups of coffee into your day.

The free 64-Bit Tonic update is out on Nintendo Switch and PC, and it’s coming to PS4 and Xbox One once “a few final bugs” have been addressed. The new look isn’t going to change anyone’s mind one way or the other about Yooka-Laylee, but it’s a nice bonus for fans of the throwback platformer.

And with that, I need to stop procrastinating and visit my optometrist. It’s been too long.
